Speaking Arrangements

I love talking about bees, but I also love things like having time to manage my

hives, keeping my removal business running, having a place to sleep, eating, etc.

Below you will find some general guidelines for what it usually takes for me to

be able to present to your organization.

Single presentations within 30min of downtown Dallas:
$125 speaker fee is standard, but I will consider speaking free of charge for educational organizations and non-profits when schedule permits, especially in the winter when bee work is slow.

Full day of presentations within 30min of downtown Dallas:
Up to six 50min presentations over an 8 hour day for a day rate of $300.

Evening speaking engagements within driving range of Dallas:

I'm generally comfortable driving up to about 6hrs out for a speaking engagement. $125 speaker's fee, plus 50c/mile round-trip. If more than 3hrs out this should also include a meal and accommodations. I am open to staying with beekeepers and talking bees if someone has a guest room. I have family in the Texas Hill Country; if your event is within a few hours of Llano, TX local accommodations will not be needed.

Speaking engagements further out:

I'm open to considering speaking opportunities further from home. Generally I would expect the $300 day rate mentioned above, accommodations, meals, and travel expenses. I am open to doing several presentations over the span of the day. I am open to staying with beekeepers and talking bees if someone has a guest room. In December and January day rates for travel engagements are discounted by 50%.
